Over the Mountain & Through the Woods

No, unfortunately, it wasn't to Grandma's house we were going ~ but to Ruidoso, NM to get our Christmas tree! Not only was the scenery absolutely breath-taking, but it was a lot of fun, too :) Hopefully, this will become a family tradition for years to come. Wherever the good Lord takes us!

And, speaking of traditions; I love our tradition of having Miss Eva's photo with Santa taken in her bare feet! Our little hillbilly doesn't like to keep her shoes on, so we might as well have fun with it, right? I even painted her little toes this year ~ FUN!

You Capture ~ Spring {again}

A couple weeks ago, Eva and I flew to my old stomping grounds in Southern Indiana to say goodbye to my 99 year-old Granny. {Wow, what a long and full life!} While we were there, Eva was introduced to something new. Fresh-cut grass!

Living in the desert does have its charms (I suppose) but there's nothing like the feel of soft, cool grass on your toes!
